His other professional experience came from ABC TV when he was hired in 1968. For nine years, he is the network ‘s Vice President of News and Executive Producer . Al is currently the President of Eyewitness Kids News. They create 30-minute TV shows.

Primo was found dead at his home in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, on September 29, 2022. He died of cancer at the age of 87.
