Andres Garcia, a famous Dominican-Mexican performer, died on April 4 at the age of 81. He died of cirrhosis, or severe cirrhosis. Garcia has been ill for a while. His wife, Margarita Portillo, was with him at their Acapulco home at the time of his death. Garcia returned home after receiving a blood transfusion but his body was exhausted, she, along with her sister and carer, were by his side when he died. She continued to say:
“Andres leaves this earthly realm at 3:07 p.m. Starting tomorrow, April 5, at 9:00 a.m., his remains will be buried here, his home, on Calle Urracas. 20 of the Fraccionamiento Costa Brava in the city and harbor of Acapulco.”
