Mark Bowe returns for another season of Barnwood Builders to change the look of dilapidated cabins and warehouses. Season 15 of Magnolia will air on Thursday, February 23 at 9 p.m. ET. Viewers will be able to watch the episode on Fubo, Apple TV, and Discovery+ the day after it airs on television. Mark Bowe will feature in the first episode of Barnwood Builders, titled The Legendary Bungalows, as he builds a custom wooden guest house in Dandridge, in the highlands of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Magnolia’s series description reads:
“Mark Bowe and his team of West Virginia carpenters restored old barns and cottages in this series before the wood deteriorated. Their aim is to breathe new life into old buildings. Among its works were tearing down an old log house in West Virginia, restoring it, and rebuilding it for a Tennessee collector.”
Mark will also visit one of the country’s most iconic mansions on the show. Meanwhile, the Gatlinburg confectionery store will be transformed by artist Johnny Jett.
Barnwood Living was founded by Mark Bowe, host of Barnwood Builders.
Mark Bowe, 53, from Glasgow, West Virginia, earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration while working as a coal miner at West Virginia University. He later earned a master’s degree in safety management from the West Virginia University College of Commerce. His wife Cindy and son Atticus reside in Lewisburg. Mark is best known as an artist, historian, businessman, and host of Barnwood Builders. In 1995, he founded his own remodeling company, Antique Cabins & Barns. The name of the organization was eventually changed to Barnwood Living, and it changed the construction of 500 pioneer-era cottages.

He wants to honor “the profession of America’s pioneering ancestors” and preserve their hard work for future generations. With his official website, fans can also hire him for motivational lectures. Bowe also owns an insurance company and previously served on the city council.
Bowe told Greenbrier Valley in an interview that he intends to improve people’s perception of West Virginia:
“I wanted to challenge the concept of ‘hill’. The network won’t let us use it in the first season, but after that, the truckers will deliver to us while proudly claiming to be hill tribesmen. The network has finally appeared. I believe it refers to strong relationships with family and friends, determination to work hard, and qualities like stamina and courage.”

He enjoys kayaking, boating, fishing, camping, ax throwing, and playing tomahawk. His Ted Talk from 2013, The Front Porch, is now accessible on YouTube and has over 17k views. Johnny Jet, Sherman Thompson, Tim Rose and Graham Ferguson were among his teammates.

A seasonal sneak peek shows Mark Bowe’s team dismantling and rebuilding a house. Mark also mentioned how much he liked the mountains and sea views there. He says he enjoys “reusing history” by rescuing quaint cottages.

Barnwood Builders airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on the Magnolia network.
