Cage the Elephant is an American rock band formed in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After moving to London in 2008, they released their first self-titled album. The current members are Matt Shultz (vocals), Brad Shultz (rhythm guitar), Nick Bockrath (lead guitar), Matthan Minster (guitar, keyboards), Daniel Tichenor (bass) and Jared Champion (drums).

Their debut album was a huge success, with many radio hit singles, earning them a large fan base in the US and UK. The music is influenced by classic rock, 90s alternative music, blues, punk rock and funk. Lincoln Parish was the lead guitarist until 2013 when he left to pursue a career in production. Their second album, “Thank You, Happy Birthday”, came out in 2011 and was inspired by punk rock, Pixies and Nirvana.

The third album, “Melophobia” released in 2013, showed the band’s efforts to create a unique musical identity. In 2015, they released “Tell Me I’m Pretty” produced by Dan Auerbach.
