Hell’s Kitchen this season is hotter and more dramatic than previous seasons. Many candidates failed to produce acceptable meals during catering duties and were fired from the kitchen by Gordon Ramsay. It’s normal for teams to feel overwhelmed as bets increase after each episode.
Chef Alex Belew spoke about coping with the pressures of Hell’s Kitchen and meeting the high expectations of Ramsay and his guests. The chef admits to having had several crises in the kitchen but added that he relies on his culinary skills to get through difficult situations.
Belew went on to say:
“When this happens, you have to rely on instincts and dietary knowledge. What flavors go together, how should certain foods be prepared, and hopefully for the best? I had 30 minutes of the 40 minute challenge before I realized what I was doing.”
