Chris Redd’s current health status and other information
Chris Redd was taken to the hospital after being attacked outside the Comedy Cellar, but he was later discharged. Given that he was freed, it doesn’t appear that he suffered life-threatening injuries. After getting out of his car, Redd was approached by two men, both of whom were wearing brass fingers. According to TMZ, Redd’s eyes and nose were damaged and required stitches. Both were dressed as security guards, wearing face masks.
One approached and attacked Chris first, while the other was on the other side of the street, observing the scene. Meanwhile, Redd was unable to identify any of his attackers, and police officials obtained security video from which they anticipate catching the perpetrator. According to witnesses, the attackers took Redd’s Greg Yuna necklace, but it fell apart on the street. While it appears this action was motivated by a robbery, confirmation is still pending.
