Season 6 of the Christmas Cookie Challenge returns to the annual holiday tradition. Each week, the show will feature five cookie chefs competing in a series of missions for the $10,000 grand prize. The show returns with an episode full of ups and downs and snow battles. In addition, instead of the usual five contestants, there will be six contestants competing in pairs.
The summary of the episode is as follows:
“Ree Drummond and Eddie Jackson asked four cookie-making couples to create two gift cards – one for each person; The pairs then build a suitable fortress to survive the snowball fight with a pile of snowballs ready in the hopes of making $10,000.

The first episode of Christmas Cookie Challenge season 6
The Christmas Cookie Challenge Season 6 Episode 1 called The Christmas Couple will have four couples compete in a variety of Christmas themed missions for the grand prize of $10,000. Participants had to design two nameplates for The Food Network’s Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond and Eddie Jackson. The nametags will decide which pair will advance to the next round and which will leave empty-handed. Next, the remaining couples must build a cookie fortress using snowballs as artillery to decide which castle is the biggest. In the end, only one couple will leave with the desired amount of money and gold ornaments to brighten up their Christmas.
Three of the four couples are seen decorating their nameplates in a Christmas Cookie Challenge ad posted on social media. Joe and Danielle’s cards appear to be gnomes; however, while Danielle’s gnome is excellent, her counterpart seems to be “he just got into a fight with someone.”
Joe said in his confession that complex patterns are bad for his hands because they are not the strongest. Danielle said,
“Joe is not exactly a refined gentleman.”
Luke and Brett’s cookies are decorated with Mardi Gras beads and look like Louisiana’s Santa Crocodile. Meanwhile, Aamie and Jonathan are making guitar-shaped gift cards and cookies. Aamie calls her companion a “Christmas taste tester”. “The guitar was one of the first gifts she gave him.
Jonathan confessed in his confessional:
“I appreciate what my wife does because it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.”
