Who is Coco Jones?

Coco Jones, born Courtney Michaela Jones on January 4, 1998, is an American singer-songwriter and actress known by her stage name. Raised in Lebanon, Tennessee, she began her entertainment career at a young age, gaining attention on Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing in 2010–11. Jones rose to fame with her role in the Disney Channel film Let It Shine (2012) and the sitcom Good Luck Charlie (2012–13).

After leaving Disney, Jones pursued an independent music career, signing with Hollywood Records. Her debut single “Holla at the DJ” was released in 2012, and her EP Made Of came out in 2013. Despite early success, she was dropped from Hollywood Records in 2014, leading her to release independent music.

Jones continued her career with roles in films like Flock of Four (2018) and appearances in commercials. In 2020, she spoke about her negative experiences with colorism in the industry. Jones joined the cast of Peacock’s Bel-Air in 2021, portraying Hilary Banks.

In 2022, Jones signed with Def Jam Recordings and achieved success with her single “ICU.” She released her major label debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, in November 2022. Jones received Grammy nominations in 2023, won a BET Award and an NAACP Image Award, and continues to make waves in the music and entertainment industry.
