Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov of Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) revealed that they are expecting their first child in May 2023. The couple got married in July 2014 and started dancing together in 2009. when recommended by general teachers. Daniella and Pasha confirmed their pregnancy to PEOPLE in a joint statement. According to previous accounts, her DWTS season 31 partner Joseph Baena was unaware of the news and that “he’s a sweetheart, and he’s been really nice to me, even though he is. don’t know.”
Daniella said in an interview with the publication:
“We’ve wanted to get married since we got married and we’ve been married for eight and a half years so we were more than ready. We wanted to start preparing this year and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. I found out I was pregnant on the first day of [DWTS season 31].”

When their respective coaches introduced them, Daniella and Pasha had an immediate connection. Pasha met a new co-worker in early 2009, and when she became his dance partner, the two had a strong bond that blossomed into a genuine relationship.
Pasha recalled meeting her dance partner and the love of her life in a 2017 interview with Dance Info. He declared:
“My ex-partner left for Dancing with the Stars, so I need a new partner.” My standard instructor suggested that I try dancing with Daniella. I’m not sure because we’re six and a half years apart.”
However, the Russian native added that regardless of the age gap, his instructor pointed out that it didn’t matter, and so he invited Daniella to dance with him. After a practice session, the duo quickly bonded and felt there was something special between them. Daniella started dating Pasha a year ago after they spent time together during dance training. After four years of dating, the two proposed on January 1, 2012, and they married two years later.
The former dance partners have won various international competitions and qualified for World of Dance season 2 in 2018 before joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) the following year. While Pasha was teaching Kate Flannery, Daniella danced with the group and met her dance partner in season 3 of the Nelly dance competition.
In July 2022, Daniella and Pasha celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary and debuted as professional dancers in season 31 of DWTS. The New York-born player also won the Mirror Ball trophy last season, along with NBA shooting guard Iman Shumpert. Daniella teamed up with Joseph Baena on season 31 of DWTS, which begins September 2022, and they are the sixth couple to be dropped from the show. Pasha was eliminated in second place after co-starring with reality TV personality Teresa Giudice.
Daniella revealed on Instagram in November 2022 that she is expecting her first child with Pasha. She captioned a snap of the couple cuddling her while clutching baby shoes:

Daniella claims to PEOPLE that she’s “not nauseous from day one,” despite the fact that her body is so used to dancing. However, during the first trimester, she became more aware of her pregnancy. She stated:

Before Daniella and Pasha announced the arrival of a new member, Witney Carson, another professional dancer, confirmed her pregnancy on the show earlier this month. Jenna Johnson, wife of Val Chmerkovskiy, is not participating in season 31 because she is pregnant.
