Domani Jackson attributes much of his success to the support and guidance of his parents. Throughout his journey, they were his most important and trusted support system. Randy and Melanie, Jackson’s parents, played an important role in shaping his personality. Domani Jackson is an American football player, currently in his second year of college and studying communications.

Jackson participated in two sports at Mater Dei High School: football and track. He also set a California state record in the 100 meter event with a time of 10.25 seconds. The 20-year-old, ranked by 247 Sports as the No. 4 prospect nationally, chose USC over multiple other offers. In his first season with the Trojans, the cornerback appeared in seven games.

Domani Jackson was born to Randy and Melanie Jackson in Santa Ana, California, United States. Interestingly, the Jackson family originated from Youngstown, Ohio, not Southern California. Jackson’s parents, Randy and Melanie, were born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. Randy first came to Southern California after joining the Marines, which led to a transfer to State College, Pennsylvania, where Domani began his football career.

They then spent four years in Hawaii before returning to Southern California. Domani’s father was stationed at Camp Pendleton when he was 12 years old and he enrolled him in the Monarchs for Marines youth camp. Domani has an older sister, Darian Jackson, who attends Great Oak High School.

Committed to the USC Trojans

Jackson chose USC over Michigan and Alabama in December 2021. The Trojans were ultimately chosen because of one important criterion. Jackson said in an interview, “Honestly if Donte [Williams] won’t come back, I’m going to Alabama. “That’s my boy; He has been recruiting me since eighth grade and I believe in him.”

“For me, he is more than just a coach; He is also a mentor and someone I can confide in about anything. He is a great coach, but so much more than that, and having him around was the main reason I signed with USC.”

He then made his college debut on the road against Oregon State. Despite missing most of his senior season as a defensive back at Mater Dei High due to a knee injury suffered in the season opener, Johnson was named to the PrepStar 2021 Dream Team. In addition Additionally, he was named to the MaxPreps All-State spring 2021 first team and the All-Trinity League first team his junior year.
