Green day
Green Day is a rock band from California formed in 1987 by Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt. Originally known as Blood Rage and then Sweet Children, they found a foothold in the Bay Area punk scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s at the club 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley.
Their first music appeared on Lookout! File. In 1994, their album “Dookie” became a huge hit, selling more than 10 million copies in the US. This success, along with bands like Bad Religion and The Offspring, helped bring punk rock to a wider audience in America.
Even though their albums like “Insomniac”, “Nimrod” and “Warning” did not reach the same level as “Dookie”, they were still successful. “American Idiot,” released in 2004, is a rock musical that has become popular among young fans, selling millions of copies.
