Vote Headies 2023
The Headies, originally known as the World Hip Hop Awards, is a prestigious music awards program established in 2006 by Nigeria’s World Hip Hop Magazine. Its main purpose is to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The event takes place every year and showcases performances by both established and rising artists. The ceremony was televised live on HipTV, reaching audiences across Nigeria.
The first and second editions of The Headies were held at the Muson Center, located in Onikan, Lagos State. From 2010 to 2012, the awards were held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Over the years, many prominent Nigerian media personalities have hosted this prestigious event, including Darey Art Alade, D’banj, Dakore Egbuson, Banky W., Rita Dominic, MI, Tiwa Savage and Dr SID.
