J. Cole’s post with BTS’ j-hope: “hope world meets cole world”

BTS, particularly j-hope, have a soft spot in their hearts for German-American rapper J. Cole, who is also a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, and professional basketball player. Cole is recognized as one of his generation’s most influential rappers. During their early days in the business, the Bangtan lads listened to Cole and were greatly influenced by his style and work. In reality, BTS’s successful song Born Singer was a reworking of J. Cole’s song Born Sinner from his 2013 album Born Sinner.

ARMYs were thus overjoyed to witness j-hope finally meet and connect with the artist who has long been his inspiration. The BTS rapper shared three photos of himself with J. Cole at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, which took place from Thursday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31. Fans were quick to see the pure joy on their idol’s face. In the third image, Jimin appears beside the two painters.

The images have received over seven million likes on Instagram and have received comments from BTS frontman RM. The Blue Side singer’s music is noted for its quirkiness and innovation, and his first solo album was no exception. His debut performance at Lollapalooza was, to say the least, historic, as it ended up being the top ticket seller in the festival’s history.

For fans, seeing him play on the same day and on the same stage as J. Cole was unreal, reminding them of how far the idol had gone. The BTS rapper paid respect to the icon by calling his mixtape Hope World after J. Cole’s debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. J-song hope’s Hip Hop Phile from the album Dark and Wild makes a reference to the artist.

“There was Cole World before I constructed my own world, hope world.”

ARMYs have taken to Twitter to express their feelings on this famous coupling.

J-hope, a member of BTS, just released his solo album, Jack, in the Box. The rapper picked a dark and grunge concept for this endeavor, which contrasts with his generally cheery and positive nature. The member wanted his admirers to see the other part of his identity, which is usually concealed from the rest of the world.
