Central Michigan University coach Jim McElwain has been married to his wife, Karen McElwain, for more than 36 years. The couple met in college and married in 1998 after many years of dating. Jim said: “I am successful only because of her. She was with me the whole way. She cares about the kids we train as well as the individuals in these families who are involved in our organization, and she works hard to keep things stable.” Karen is also known to many as “Mama Mac” because she prioritizes motherhood support for the group.
