Biography of Lil Skies
Lil Skies was born on August 4, 1998 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. At the age of 4, he began composing songs and was first exposed to music by his father, Michael Burton Jr., formerly known as Dark Skies.
In third grade, the family moved to Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. When Skies was eleven years old, a chemical explosion at the Rust-Oleum facility near Williamsport, Maryland injured his father. In 2016, he received his diploma from Waynesboro Area High School. He then briefly enrolled at Pennsylvania’s Shippensburg University before quitting to pursue music as a full-time career.
