Maisie Williams, a British actress, spoke about her difficult childhood connection with her father and how it affected her.
In an interview with Steven Bartlett on The Diary of a CEO podcast, the 25-year-old actress described her relationship with her father as “difficult”. According to Williams:

Williams commented on the teacher’s “right question,” saying:
“And she was like, ‘What’s wrong?’ you know, what happened?” Are you hungry? ‘Have you had breakfast?’ ‘No,’ I replied. ‘Oh why not?’ she speaks. “We simply don’t have any breakfast,” I said. And then she asked, ‘Do you usually have breakfast?’ When her mother picked her up from school that day, she commented that this was the first time all the doors were open, as well as “the first time the items were placed on the table.”
She continued:
“I still want to argue and tell you that these things are not bad, that you are just trying to separate me from my father.” In a way, I was brainwashed. That’s probably why I’m so enamored with cults. Because, you know, I get that. I get it. I am a member of a juvenile cult.”
