Martin Duffy Passed Away At The Age Of 55

Martin Duffy, a famous keyboardist, died on December 18 at the age of 55. According to official sources, he died after suffering a head injury after falling at his home. He was not in the hospital when he died, and was surrounded by family members. Primal Scream’s official Instagram page paid tribute to Duffy by sharing a photo of him with a lengthy text about how he’s always loved music and is a pianist. The article continued:

“He never played the same thing again. He’s always trying to capture the ‘moment’, so have that ‘record’ button ready when Duffy is on fire. His timing is very different, odd, and constantly out of tune. George Clinton is also a fan of Martin. I recall a session in Chicago when George said to him, “Duffy, come to church!” and he did.”

The article ends with the statement that he is loved by all members of Primal Scream.

Love Martin. The coolest kid in town. What a talent. I remember one evening at his house playing the piano while his mother ironed the clothes. Lucky to have spent some time in his orbit. #martinduffy #feel #primalscream #birmingham pic.twitter.com/znd8sOrHEX
