Season 2 of The Next Level Chef will air on Fox on Sunday, February 12, at 10:30 p.m. ET, after the Super Bowl airs. The culinary competition series will have 18 chefs from across the US compete for the $250,000 grand prize by creating the best meals imaginable, including social media chefs Matt Groark. Matt Groark, 44, is a teacher and owner of Groark Boys’ BBQ, which has more than 3.2 million followers on Tik-Tok. He appeared in Season 2 of The Next Level Chef, directed by Richard Blais.
Matt Groark, a finalist for the Next Level Chef, founded Groark Boys BBQ in 2018.
Matt Groark graduated from Rowan University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Education in Health and Physical Education. He later earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Management from Wilmington University, where he graduated in 2008.
Groark began teaching health and physical education at Washington Town High School. He ran a fundraiser in 2018 to open Groark Boys BBQ, his first restaurant. By 2020, Matt has donated $30,000 to charities and community groups from his meat company’s sales, including pulled pork, brisket, mac & cheese, and other treats .

In a 2020 interview, he said:
“From the beginning, my aim has been to give back because of the way others have supported and given back to my family. Any monetary gain from this… My value is to give people not only food but also hope and motivation. That’s more important to me than any money I can make.”
He’s been involved in many charity events, including the Town of Washington’s food delivery and the Sam’s Club pandemic fundraising efforts. Matt and Kristin Leigh Groark, who have two sons named Aidric and Nash, recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.
Part 2 of The Next Level Chef
The second season of Next Level Chef is hosted by chef Gordon Ramsay. He and coaches Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais will evaluate their six-member teams, each in three separate kitchens with different settings and surroundings. There are home chefs, senior chefs, professional chefs and social chefs among the 18 candidates.
To win the trophy, the $250,000 grand prize, and a year of mentorship, chefs must create the “next-level standout dish” in front of their respective mentors.

Next Level Chef season 2 premieres Sunday, February 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET to see if Matt Groark can wow the advisors with his debut dish. After the first episode, Chefs Next Level will return to its regular Thursday night slot at 8 p.m. ET.
