The San Diego Automobile Museum in Southern California has a special permanent display honoring Don Prudhomme. This historic anniversary is commemorated with an exclusive grand opening on July 13, 2023. This stunning exhibit showcases more than 100 of Prudhomme’s famous NHRA Wally Awards. His distinguished career included roles as a driver and team owner in NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car racing.
Prudhomme’s distinctive firefighting suit and helmet are also on display in the show. The visual appeal is complemented by a beautifully designed video package that captures some of Prudhomme’s most memorable music. Recent interviews with Prudhomme have bolstered the story. Prudhomme, who was accompanied by his wife Lynn and daughter Donna, expressed his thanks by saying:
“It is an honor to be in this wonderful museum and have my career celebrated here. I am also excited that NHRA has been recognized as a great area where people can come and learn more about drag racing.”
