Various balance adjustments have been made to character performance and other aspects of the game.

We’ve fixed the bugs and tweaked the combat system as follows.
- Shield counter
A bug was fixed where the shield counter could not be performed during a successful shield attack if the opponent’s Moon Drive or EX Special Move was performed in a frozen state.
- Clash Frame Fixed an issue where an opponent’s Moon Drive or EX Special Move would sometimes be considered an invincible move if it was performed during a Clash Frame move.
Changes outside the combat system.
- Network mode The classification of simple messages in player matches has been made more detailed, making it easier to select frequently used messages.
- Training mode Moon icon settings can now be set separately for 1P and 2P.
- Custom mode New items have been added to the header.

Rapid Beat allows automatic matching sequences but ends with a Launcher or an aerial throw after the third match sequence. The Moon Symbol is now used to unleash powerful Moon Skills and activate Moon Dynamics, providing various benefits. Moves in the Last Arc can be activated independently but only once per round, consuming four Magic Circuit bars. The game has a recovery network code but lacks cross-platform play.
In Melty Blood: Type Lumina, the Rapid Beat mechanic provides automatic matching sequences, while the New Moon System replaces the Moon Type.
