Mickey Kuhn, a famous actor, died on November 20 at the age of 90. His wife, Barbara, told The Hollywood Reporter that he was in a hospice facility in Naples, Florida before his death. and remained in good condition until recently. He started his career as a child actor and worked in the movie business during the Golden Age of Hollywood. He became known for his roles in films such as Gone with the Wind, Juarez, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Red River and Broken Arrow.

Mickey Kuhn starred in a number of films over the years, but he is best known for his role in the 1939 historical romance film Gone with the Wind. In Gone With the Wind, he played Beau Wilkes, a minor supporting character. Leslie Howard portrays the character’s son, Ashley Wilkes.

Although Beau is not one of the film’s main characters, he did have a major supporting role alongside Paul Hurst, Cammie King, JM Kerrigan, Jackie Moran, and Lillian Kemble-Cooper. Mickey Kuhn started his acting career as a child.

Mickey Kuhn, born September 21, 1932, rose to prominence as a child actor in the 1930s. After an audition of 100 child actors, he was cast in Gone with the Wind. In 1939, he starred in another historical drama, Juarez. After 12 years, he reunited with Vivien Leigh in the 1951 Southern Gothic drama A Streetcar Named Desire. From 1951 to 1955, he served in the Navy as an aviation electrician.

Mickey Kuhn left the film industry in 1956 and worked as a manager for American Airlines at Boston airport until his retirement. He continued to participate in film festivals and was awarded the 2005 Golden Shoe, which recognizes significant achievements in the Western genre. Other films in which Kuhn appeared include King of the Underworld, SOS Tidal Wave, When Tomorrow Comes, Bad Little Angel, and One Foot in Heaven. He has appeared in films such as The Searching Wind, The Return of Rusty, High Conquest, Magic Town, and others.

His father was a Safeway butcher and the family moved to Los Angeles. In an interview with the Films of the Golden Age website, Mickey said:

“My mom and I were at Sears Roebuck on Santa Monica and Western when a woman came up to her and told her that Fox Studio was looking for twins for a movie they were filming. She has a daughter just like me and feels we might be left out. So we walked over there, and I was in a cast, but not that woman’s child.”
