Mr. Beast Stated That He Is Getting Annoyed With The People Who Copied His Content

Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast on YouTube, believes his “imitaters” are “uncontrollable”. The creator responded to a tweet from a fan, Louis-Philippe Papineau, who expressed his frustration with people taking such measures to copy the YouTuber’s work. The 24-year-old inventor responded to the tweet and agreed with Louis that the copying got out of hand. Jimmy is known for his lavish, high-budget music videos. He has previously said that each of his films requires months of preparation to be successful.

However, with more than 100 million followers on YouTube, this inventor is often imitated by other manufacturers. Morgz, a British YouTuber, is one of the most famous MrBeast imitators. In 2018, the latter’s fans and followers accused the former of publicly stealing his ideas and thumbnails, leading to a rivalry between the two.

Agree, it’s out of reach tbh

The dispute between MrBeast and Morgz

In August 2018, viewers discovered notable similarities between MrBeast and Morgz’s videos. Jimmy published a video titled “Can 1,000 rolls of duct tape stop a car?” in April 2018. Morgz published a video in August of the same year titled “Can 1,000 layers of duct tape stop a car from hitting me?” Jimmy acknowledged the similarities in a deleted tweet. Morgz was quick to respond with screenshots of YouTubers who made the same video years ago with both, saying there were others who had done it first. Jimmy responded with a video in which he said he has no grudge against the British YouTuber. However, Jimmy asked Morgz to change the material when creating the film to his liking.

Morgz immediately replied that he also did not want conflict between the two sides. He also said that the theme in his video is fundamentally different from Jimmy’s. Jimmy deleted his first Tweet in response to Morgz’s comment, addressing the debate. A few days after their Twitter debate, @BradHeat reported that Morgz had banned the phrase MrBeast from his account. They published:

“So I did a search… And found out that Morgz had blacklisted the term “MrBeast” so that no one could call him out. Apparently, he was aware of his actions.

After one of his challenges went viral on November 26, Jimmy tweeted, “What if I invited all the participants and let them compete for money?” However, not all of his admirers support the idea and some say that Morgz does not need “extra attention”.

Then, in March 2019, a Twitter user uploaded images highlighting similarities between the two artists’ video thumbnails. However, Jimmy’s reaction is something his admirers love, as he says imitation is “the highest form of flattery”. The FaZe Banks founder observed the response and said that Jimmy was “too sweet,” to which Jimmy replied:

“Yes, but not all of my actions are unique. Every day, many people imitate me, but it would be hypocritical if I was angry with them.”

Within a week, his response earned more than 15,000 likes. Many YouTube channels have discussed the similarities in content between the two producers.
