Nolan Kay Bushnell was born in Clear Field, Utah, on February 5, 1943. During his high school years, while working at Lagoon Amusement Park, he fell in love with video games.
Nolan Kay Bushnell enrolled at Wyoming State University in 1961, where he majored in engineering and later switched to business. He chose to attend the University of Utah’s College of Engineering. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering.
During college, he became interested in video games playing Space Wars, and in 1969, he co-founded the Syzygy studio with Ted Dabney. They set up a special studio to make copies of the Space War game. Computerspace is the name of the studio.
