Outchef’d is returning to the Food Network to give some chefs the extra surprise of a lifetime. The second season of the popular series will air on Thursday, June 15, at 9:30 p.m. ET. The show will also be available to watch on Discovery Plus and the Food Network.
As with last season, host Eddie Jackson will surprise confident home cooks that they will deliver a challenging audition. Chefs will have to create more delicious dishes than some of the world’s most famous chefs, and meals will be judged by an ordinary four-person tasting panel. To win the $5,000 cash prize, the home chef only needs one vote.
Season 2 of Outchef’d also featured some surprise guests.
To win the tournament, world famous chefs will need all four votes. The chefs of this season are:
- Alex Guarnaschelli is the executive chef of the famous Butter restaurant in New York.
- Antonia Lofaso: Scopa Italian Roots owner and Top Chef participant
- Darnell Ferguson: Super Chef Hate Match Host
- Eric Adjepong: Alex Vs. Host of the American show and the winner of Top Chef season 16
- Geoffrey Zakarian is the owner of many New York restaurants and a participant in the Chopped show.
Joe Sasto: Former RN74, Cotogna and Cal Mare player. Kelsey Bernard Clark is the owner of the restaurant and catering business KBC. Outchef’d is described by Food Network as follows:
“Food Network star Eddie Jackson has surprised amateur chefs with a rare once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a one-round cooking competition against the most competitive, acclaimed, and terrifying celebrity chefs best of the world.” To balance the odds, the home chef only needs ONE VOICE from a group of random tasters to win $5,000.”
Program manager Marcus, entrepreneur Trent, project manager Mike Mazza, junior band leader Jonathan, manager Ariana and Mike Ryan are among the featured home cooks in Outchef’d. In each episode, one of these chefs will try to beat a famous chef. They will make lobster and mac & cheese, among other things. Outchef will also have some surprise guests.
