Explanation of the rare export end

At the end of Rare Exports, a film set in Lapland, Finland, a group of local men and a boy named Pietari discover a secret about Santa Claus. The old man they thought was Santa turned out to be one of Santa’s elves. They find a giant block of ice with the real Santa Claus inside and a bunch of stolen children in a sack next to it, including Pietari’s friend Juuso.

To save the children and stop the goblins, Pietari comes up with a plan.
