Rashod Bateman is an American football wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Minnesota and was drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Bateman was born in Tifton, Georgia, on November 29, 1999. He attended Tift County High School, where he was a three-sport star in football, basketball, and track and field. In football, Bateman was a two-time all-state selection and was named the Georgia Player of the Year in 2017.
Bateman committed to play college football at Minnesota. He had a standout freshman season in 2018, leading the team with 60 receptions and 764 receiving yards. Bateman was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was a second-team All-Big Ten selection.
