Sara Holmes, also known as HojuSara, an Australian YouTuber, died on September 1, 2022, aged 31 after a 6 month battle with leukemia. “Bbyong” is a Korean slang phrase that means “appears” or “disappears” and is often used affectionately to express “die”.
Hyun also shared a 40-minute video on Holmes’ YouTube account, which included a spoken message from the hospital. The video includes an audio message recorded by Holmes from the hospital shortly before her death, in which she says:

This is not the end of the story. I’m still fighting. I’m fighting… I want to spend more quality time with all of you. I was going to write you all a note, but this came faster than I anticipated. I’ve made a lot of great friends. I think I’ve exhausted all my luck. I don’t have any regrets. I wish I could spend more time with you, but I’ll keep an eye on you.
In August, doctors informed Hyun that she had only a week to live. She survived for 10 days before suddenly passing away in September.
When HojuSara died, tributes poured in.
The YouTuber’s untimely death rocked the internet. Holmes has more than 341k subscribers on the video-sharing site and 50.8k followers on Instagram. Condolences to her family and friends flooded her social media pages.

Sara Holmes was diagnosed with leukemia after returning to Brisbane from her fiance Hyun’s hometown of Sydney in May 2022. She began experiencing unusual and unexpected back problems while visiting a friend in there. When she returned to Brisbane, the discomfort still did not go away so she went to the emergency room for a check-up several times. She was checked for any blood clots but was misdiagnosed as “myalgia”. Holmes was asked to return home and relax for a few days.

However, upon discharge from the hospital, this YouTuber lost consciousness and was transferred to another hospital for further testing. This is where she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. The influencer claims that this news surprised her as she has lived a very healthy life. She doesn’t drink or smoke, and she exercises regularly.
