Band Sepultura
Sepultura, a famous heavy metal band from Brazil, was founded in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera. The group played a pivotal role in shaping the Groove Metal, thrash metal and death metal genres of the late 1980s and early 1990s. While the band has undergone many lineup changes over its 39-year career current roster includes singer Derrick Green, guitarist Andreas Kisser, bassist Paulo Jr. and drummer Eloy Casagrande.
Despite the departures of Max and Igor Cavalera in 1996 and 2006 respectively, Sepultura continued to grow, incorporating influences from alternative metal, world music, nu metal, hardcore punk and industrial metal. Their extensive discography includes 15 studio albums, with their most successful records including “Beneath the Remains” (1989), “Arise” (1991), “Chaos AD” (1993) and “Roots ” (1996). In March 2024, after four decades of musical innovation, Sepultura prepares to embark on a year-and-a-half-long farewell tour.
