Sheryl Underwood, co-host of The Talk, recently spoke to People about her 95-pound weight loss struggles. During the broadcast of her current show, the TV celebrity celebrated her 59th birthday by transforming. The presenter was spotted wearing a colorful purple dress, and she told the newspaper she tried on ten different dresses before finding the one that gave her the “Dorothy Effect”. Underwood says she initially addressed her gut health before embarking on her general fitness adventure. She has to deal with diabetes, high blood pressure and “all the other problems women struggle with” in addition to losing weight. In response, she said she plans to have a surgical procedure, but then she will have to “see a psychologist” and a dietitian. She says she lost weight while working with a dietitian. Although she didn’t lose a significant amount of weight, she did lose enough that “insurance won’t cover that.”

She also accepts lifestyle changes such as sleeping more, drinking more water and eating healthier foods. Underwood says she’s starting to eat more green leafy vegetables and fruits like blueberries and strawberries, as well as adding fiber to her diet.
