Spy x Family Season 2

The second season of the Spy × Family anime TV series was made by Wit Studio and CloverWorks. They shared the news about it along with an animated movie on December 18, 2022, during Jump Festa. Ichirō Ōkouchi took over as the scriptwriter from Furuhashi, but the rest of the team and cast stayed the same. The show still follows the main spy character, Twilight, who goes by Loid Forger, a fake psychiatrist, and his made-up family. The family includes his daughter Anya, who can read minds, his wife Yor, who’s an assassin called the Thorn Princess, and their dog Bond, who can see the future.

This new season has 12 episodes, and they’re named “Mission” with a number (like “Mission 1”, “Mission 2”, and so on), continuing from the previous season. The first episode of this season is called “Mission 26”. This naming style is the same as in the original manga, which also uses “Mission” for its chapter titles.

Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained

The beloved undercover family, the Forgers, is back on Netflix with the second season of Spy x Family, kicking off with a fun and exciting first episode. In the previous season, we learned about the rival nations, Westalis and Ostania, always at odds like in a cold war. Agent Twilight, the top spy in Westalis’ WISE intelligence division, got a mission called Operation Strix. He had to pose as a family man in Ostania, get his child into the fancy Eden Academy, and extract info from Donovan Desmond, a high-ranking official.

Twilight took on the fake identity of Dr. Loid Forger, a psychiatrist, and adopted a six-year-old girl named Anya. Little did he know, Anya has the power to read minds due to experiments. Yor Briar, a city hall worker secretly known as Thorn Princess, finds it useful for her cover when Twilight suggests she be part of their family. She agrees to act as his wife and Anya’s mom. They also add Bond, a big dog with the power to see the future, to their family.

Surprisingly, none of them knows each other’s secrets except for Anya. This leads to some funny situations among the family members, and the first episode of Spy x Family Season 2 is a great example of that.
