Guide Looker

Having trouble with the ESC menu? If you’re new to The Looker, you may find that the ESC menu works differently than in other games. To make a selection, such as continue or quit, you need to draw a red line connecting the “Start” and “End” points. Drawing lines plays an important role throughout the game, becoming a recurring theme in various puzzles.

To start, in the starting tunnel, go to the far side and collect the first aid kit and ammo to gain achievements. Once you’ve got them, go back to the other side of the tunnel and draw red lines to open the door.

Outside, you’ll encounter countless bright screens with “Start” and “End” labels. Your task is to connect the lines between these points on each screen. Most puzzles are relatively simple, and in some cases you can get through the maze by simply drawing a line outside the black lines, connecting “Start” to “End”.

As you progress, you’ll come across a puzzle where “Start” and “End” are blocked by black lines. However, by looking behind the screen, you’ll notice a “Start” point on the wire itself. Connect a red line from that point to the “End” on the other side of the wire.

Another puzzle involves following a maze and connecting lines accordingly. In a small room you will find two more screens. The first problem is easy to solve, but the second requires you to listen to a voice guiding you. When you start drawing lines, you’ll hear a guy say “Beep” and that sound gets louder as you get closer to the end. Follow the bold red lines shown to find the exact location for the “End” point.

While exploring, keep an eye out for recording devices. One can be found near an unlit fire pit, while the second rests on some books on a table in the outdoor area.

When you reach a door labeled “Do not enter!,” Continue drawing lines on it to open. Inside, as you progress, you’ll meet a knight and a monitor. Drawing lines on the screen will display a message prompting you to “Look behind”. When you do, the knight will disappear and a new path will open. You will also get a gun and witness a ghost passing by.

Continuing further, you’ll come across bookshelves, and between them you’ll find a knight holding a red light that startles you, receiving a “BOO!” achievements. Go to the door, shoot at the screen next to it, and the door will open.

When reaching the tower block, connect two rings (two balls) to link “Start” and “End” on the blank screen. You’ll find a recording nearby, and as you go to the top of the tower, be sure to listen to another recording. Also, if you use a telescope to observe the sun, your screen will turn white, giving you an achievement. The telescope will then readjust its position.

Head down to the boat area and find another recording. On the opposite side, solve the other screen by connecting “Start” to “E” and “S” to “End” without overlapping the lines. This action will unlock the chess room, where you will need to connect lines between “S” and “E.” The second chess board requires you to connect three lines between “S” and “E” without overlap.

In the same room you will discover a recording, which will be the final one. Unlock the gate, solve the puzzle in the maze, and make your way to the area in the middle of the maze with the pews in the church and the two statues. Solve all the mazes and follow the lines provided in the image to complete each page, winning the “Student” achievement.

Return to the tower with the cannons and use the aiming device to destroy all the ships. Connect “S” to “E” to fire cannons at each ship. After killing them, go down the stairs, as the door is currently unlocked.

In the newly unlocked room you will find the video game SNEK. Draw lines on the word “SNEK” to start the game. Your goal is to connect “S” to “E” multiple times, but if that fails, you can start over by drawing lines on the word “START”.

After completing the SNEK game, return to the tower wall to find a newly unlocked door. Inside, you’ll find an on-screen game like Time Crisis. Draw lines between “S” and “E” on the screen before they disappear to continue the game.

After beating the Time Crisis game, exit and tackle two more screens. Spotlights will guide you to the solar panel on the other side of the tower, which will unlock the door to the next area.

In the new part you will encounter a puzzle with a purple screen and elemental symbols. Follow the correct order of lines, as shown in the images provided, to solve the puzzle.

Finally, go to the top of the tower for the final puzzle. Connect the giant “S” and “E” together, making sure that the lines don’t cross the black points. Use the line shown in the image as a guide. This will complete the game.
