Tim Bachman Passed Away At The Age Of 71

Tim Bachman, member of Brave Belt and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, died on April 28, 2023, aged 71. He died of brain cancer. Ryder Bachman, Bachman’s son, paid tribute to his father on Facebook by sharing a black and white photo of himself with his father. He declared:

“My father passed away this afternoon. Thank you everyone for your warm comments. I’m so glad I finally got to spend time with him. Grab your loved ones and hug them tight because you never know how much longer you have left.”

Ryder went on to write about his father, claiming that his father’s last words were, “I love you, Paxton, Let’s share the music.” According to the post, a press conference has also been scheduled at Fanny Bay Inn Jam. This was followed by another post, in which Ryder thanked everyone who attended:

Tim Bachman performed in several bands when he was young, but he eventually got a job. He chose to pursue his music career when his brother Randy was looking for a new band member for Brave Belt. Brave Belt was formed in 1971. In addition to Randy and Tim, the band also includes Chad Allan, Robbie Bachman and Fred Turner. While the Brave Belts disbanded, Randy, Robbie, Tim and Fred Turner formed Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 1973. Tim contributed a few singles to the band’s first two albums, Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Bachman- Turner Overdrive II, which was released in 1973.

Tim Bachman left the band the following year to spend more time with his family and promote other gigs.
