Ty Okada’s parents, Chris and Michelle Okada, are originally from Minnesota. The couple has given birth to two athletic sons, one of whom is about to make his NFL debut. After three years as a loan officer, Chris joined Philip Morris International as their regional sales manager. She went on to earn a master’s degree in public administration from Hamline University in 2008. Michelle has worked for the city of Woodbury since 1996. She has been the Director of Parks and Recreation since 2018. Michelle and Chris, a married couple husband, had a shared Facebook account that was not very active.
