Career
Fangio was a defensive linebacker at Dunmore High School in 1975. From 1979 to 1981, he was a winger and defensive coordinator of his high school.
In 1982, he led the Milford Academy defence. He then became assistant defensive coach for the Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars in 1984. Fangio was the New Orleans defense coach from 1986 to 1994. During that time, he coached the team. The legendary “Dome Patrol”.
During Fangio’s nine seasons in New Orleans, the Saints ranked in the Top 5 for overall defense (300.0 ypg – 5th), saves (408 – 3rd), defensive goals (18,00). 1 point – 4th and scored (336 – T-3).
