Vicky Phelan Passed Away At The Age Of 48

Vicky Phelan, a cervical cancer activist who exposed the CervicalCheck screening fraud in Ireland, has died aged 48. According to the Irish Times, Phelan died early Monday morning, November 14. , at Milford Hospice in Co Limerick, with family. Vicky’s husband, Jim, and their children, Amelia and Darragh, paid their respects to the deceased in a statement released by the news agency, adding that she had left a void. which “at the moment seems irreplaceable”.

“We said our final goodbyes to our dear Vicky earlier today with loads of pain.” She is the heart and soul of our family unit, and her death will create a void in all of our lives that is hard to replace at this time.”

Her family released the following statement:

“[The family recalls] The memories of a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who were able to cope with life’s challenges have inspired not only us but the whole country. ” Sympathy and best wishes from around the world are greatly appreciated.”

Vicky Phelan has discovered one of the biggest medical scams out there.

Vicky Phelan did a cervical cancer screening test in 2011 and the results were normal. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014 and a rerun of her Cervical Screening tests revealed that the original report contained incorrect information. She didn’t find out until 2017. Phelan said after winning the case:

“Irish women can no longer put their trust in the CervicalCheck program – mistakes can and do happen, but CervicalCheck and the behavior of the HSE in my case, and in the case of at least ten other women, We know, is unacceptable.”

After the disclosure was made public, an independent investigative panel was formed, headed by public health expert Dr. Gabriel Scally. At that time, she discovered that more than 200 women had been misreported and that faulty smear test results had been withheld for years. Vicky Phelan later established the 221+ CervicalCheck Patient Support Team to assist victims of the aforementioned scam.
