Where to Find Robbie in the Depths in Tears of the Kingdom?

To find Robbie in the Depths of the game Tears of the Kingdom, follow these step-by-step directions:

  • Speak to the Zonai Survey Team person in the area. They will provide you with information on the direction Robbie went.

  • Look for a small campfire located to the south, near a large faintly glowing tree root. There is another campfire further off to the west.

  • As you leave the safety of the campfire, visibility becomes limited. Use Brightbloom Seeds to illuminate the area. You can either throw the seeds by hand (hold R and then Up on the D-Pad to select the material) or attach one to an arrow and fire it with your bow for more distance.

  • The Brightbloom Seeds will sprout upon hitting any surface and emit light, even if you leave the area and come back. If you run low on seeds, you can find more in the Depths or in caves on the surface.

  • In the Depths, you’ll encounter new creatures, such as the glowing Deep Firefly. These creatures can be combined with monster parts to create elixirs that make you emit light, though not as brightly as the Brightbloom Seeds.

  • Continue heading north to find the Nisoij Lightroot near one of Robbie’s campfires. Interacting with the Lightroot creates a fast travel spot and illuminates a large area around it, helping you navigate in the dark. Standing in the Lightroot will also cleanse any gloom from your maximum hearts, but you’ll still need to eat something to recover lost health.

  • Next to the Lightroot, inspect the campsite and find a Note on the Table left by Robbie.

  • Look to the west from the campsite to spot the next campfire with another faintly glowing Lightroot in the distance.

  • To reach the next campfire, jump over a giant pool of gloom using a large rock nearby.

  • At the edge of the Lightroot’s light, use more Brightbloom Seeds to spot threats ahead. Watch out for the Frox, creatures that can eat up Bright blooms and leave you in darkness if you’re not careful.

  • Additionally, you may encounter a large skull torch where monsters are mining Zonaite. Avoid them if you don’t have the right food to protect your maximum heart.

  • You can find Bomb Flowers at the base of odd trees. Fuse them into your arrows to blast the Zonaite Ore apart.

  • Keep progressing and take out both mining outposts if you encounter them. Collect unique materials like Muddle Buds and Puffshrooms from the Depths to aid you in battles.

  • Continue your journey to the far west Lightroot by lighting your path with Brightbloom Seeds. Be ready for a potential ambush from a winged Aerocuda that might divebomb you. Use a Keese Eye fused with an arrow for a quick kill.

  • Reach the Iayusus Lightroot, and interact with it to illuminate the area, connecting it with the previous Lightroot to create a longer corridor of light.

  • You will find Robbie near the Iayusus Lightroot, next to the large statue that Josha wanted to investigate.

  • Speak to Robbie, and he’ll activate the camera feature on your Purah Pad. Use this feature to take pictures of important objects, including the ominous statue.

  • Show the photo of the statue to Robbie, and he’ll be pleased enough to wrap up his investigation and return to the surface.

Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of Zelda

Tears of the Kingdom is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. This game serves as the sequel to the highly acclaimed title, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was released in 2017. In Tears of the Kingdom, the developers retained several key elements from its predecessor, such as the vast open world of Hyrule, but they expanded it to allow for even more vertical exploration.

The player takes on the role of the beloved hero, Link, who embarks on a quest to find Princess Zelda and confront the menacing Demon King, aiming to prevent him from wreaking havoc and destroying the world. The idea for Tears of the Kingdom was born when the team’s creative ideas for Breath of the Wild’s downloadable content (DLC) exceeded the scope of simple add-ons.

The development was led by Nintendo’s Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) division, with Production Group Number 3 taking the lead. Notably, the game retained key figures from Breath of the Wild, with Hidemaro Fujibayashi returning as the director and Eiji Aonuma as the producer. The first teaser for the game was showcased at E3 2019, followed by a full reveal at E3 2021.

Initially scheduled for release in 2022, the game faced a delay and was eventually launched on May 12, 2023. Upon release, Tears of the Kingdom received widespread acclaim from both players and critics. It was praised for its significant improvements, expanded open world, and emphasis on encouraging exploration and experimentation. The game’s success was evident in its sales, as it surpassed the milestone of selling more than 10 million copies within the first three days of its release.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers an engaging action-adventure experience designed for single-player mode and is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch platform. Its release marked a significant milestone in the celebrated series, providing players with an enchanting journey through the expansive world of Hyrule and a thrilling continuation of Link’s heroic saga.

Tears of the Kingdom Gameplay

Tears of the Kingdom maintains the open-world action-adventure gameplay that made its predecessor, Breath of the Wild (2017), so beloved. As players take on the role of Link, they embark on an exploration of Hyrule, which now includes two new areas: the sky, adorned with floating islands, and the Depths, a mysterious region. Throughout their journey, players scavenge for weapons, and resources, and tackle various quests. They can traverse the world on foot, climb surfaces, ride horses, and glide with a paraglider.

In this installment, new features are introduced, such as Zonai devices, which players can utilize for combat, exploration, and propulsion, among other functions. The previous game’s runes have been replaced with five new abilities: Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend, Recall, and Autobuild.

Ultrasound enables players to manipulate and combine various objects, including the Zonai devices, to create unique vehicles or constructs. Fuse allows Link to enhance the attributes and durability of shields and weapons by combining them with materials or certain objects, resulting in useful combinations, like explosive arrows.

Autobuild lets players quickly reconstruct previously crafted devices with Ultrahand, utilizing nearby devices and objects or creating temporary replacements at the expense of Zonate. Ascend grants Link the ability to move vertically through solid surfaces, while Recall enables players to “rewind” the movement of certain objects.

Shrines and Korok seeds return, offering rewarding gameplay elements. Clearing shrines grants players a Light of Blessing, and obtaining four of these allows Link to increase his heart or expand his stamina wheel. Korok seeds can be collected to increase Link’s inventory capacity, enabling him to carry more melee weapons, shields, or bows.

Venturing into the Depths introduces a new threat: the goopy substance known as gloom. When Link encounters enemies covered in gloom or is attacked by them, his maximum hearts temporarily decrease by one. This negative effect can only be alleviated by returning to the surface or seeking out light roots—large, light-emitting plants found in the Depths—to restore his maximum health.

The combination of familiar mechanics and innovative additions in Tears of the Kingdom ensures a compelling and immersive gameplay experience that builds upon the successful foundation laid by Breath of the Wild.
