The entire cast of Amazing Race has just been revealed, with one duo standing out among the others. Emily and Molly, twins separated at birth, are on their way to winning one of television’s greatest races.
Last year, the two made headlines when they met again for the first time since they were kids in Korea. They were adopted by separate families and lead completely different lives until DNA testing reunited them.
In a sneak preview, host Phil Keoghan discussed The Amazing Race: New York.

Wanda Sykes appeared as a guest host on The Ellen Show alongside the two. They discussed taking a DNA test, which led them to each other. Emily informed Wanda that her daughter was interested in locating Emily’s biological family and had been requesting a DNA test “year after year” for the past 5 years. Molly considered genetic marker testing after discovering she had no health history following a health scare in 2020. Their lives were turned upside down on March 3, 2021, when Molly’s test results reveal that she has a close relative named Isabel. She then contacted Isabel via 23andMe and informed her that they share the same DNA and that she was adopted from Korea in 1985.
Emily stated:
“I received a letter from 23andMe saying that you have a suitable relative and this relative is trying to contact you. She is clearly a sister of some sort. I didn’t know at the time that she was an identical twin.
Emily and her daughter then Googled Molly and looked at her videos and pictures, but even when it was so obvious, she still had a hard time believing it was her sister. The two recount their first meeting, which Emily describes as “the best day of her life”. Molly says they’re both scared, and she wonders if Emily is like her.
She went on to say:
“We were both sobbing, and it was a very lovely moment. That day, our whole lives changed.”
The two discussed their childhood contrasts in the opening video for Amazing Race, posted by Entertainment Weekly. They discussed joining the program for more than simply making $1 million; It’s also about spending time together.
