Nikko Remigio’s parents, Mark and Jennifer, first met in Santa Ana, California in 1988, where they fell in love and got married. Nikko’s successes are largely due to the trust and constant support of his parents. His parents are no longer together but their love for Nikko remains strong. He said, “It seems like you’re too black for the white kids and too white for the black kids. And so you are not Filipino because you are only half.” Over time, he begins to appreciate his heritage, feels more comfortable in his skin, and realizes that he is unique because he is a mix.
Mr. Nino is an ambitious soccer player
Nino Remigio is Nikko’s younger brother. Nino, like Nikko, grew up playing football and today plays wide receiver for San Diego State. Nino, 5’11 tall, graduated from Mater Dei High School.
