Chef Alex Belew has been confirmed to join Hell’s Kitchen 2022. (season 21). Alex, who sold his company to star in the reality series, will be competing for the championship in the episode that will premiere on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. The Battle of the Ages version will feature 18 chefs divided into two groups. Those over 40 will play on the blue team, while those under 20 will play on the red team. Hell’s Kitchen participant has been in the hospitality industry for 24 years. According to his LinkedIn page, “his first restaurant was selected as Rutherford County’s Best Restaurant by Eater Nashville and the Firefly Awards.”

Alex Belew

In 2003, he graduated from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) with a degree in Psychology. However, he discovered his true calling in the culinary industry. Alex started his career more than a decade ago, but others are not satisfied with his choice. He wrote in one of his Instagram posts:

“Fifteen years ago someone told me I was stupid for choosing this job. Every day, I worked hard to turn that person down.

According to his website, alexbelew.com, Alex studied culinary backgrounds at the Tennessee Institute of the Arts in Nashville, where he graduated with an Honors degree in Culinary Arts. Prior to becoming executive chef at Alex Belew Catering, LLC and MADE SOUTH HOSPITALITY, he served as an online chef and cooking teacher. Alex “built the #1 culinary program in the state, winning the NRA Prostart Championship” while working as a cooking teacher at Blackman High School.

Alex is expected to join season 21 of Hell’s Kitchen after years of “studying, self-taught, and working at some of Nashville’s biggest restaurants, including Sean Brock’s Husk.”
