April Clayton, a participant in the Next Level Chef, begins her culinary adventure with lasagna.
Although nothing is known about April Clayton’s personal life, she has been candid about her catering company. According to Southern Skillet Catering’s website, April enjoyed helping her grandmother in the kitchen as a child and began to notice it more in herself as she grew older and had children of her own.
According to the Times Daily, in 2016, she gave a lasagna to her children’s school on Teacher Appreciation Day. The lasagna was a huge success, prompting a few other instructors to offer to pay her extra if she could deliver them. April was motivated to go to the culinary heart of Florence and set up a cooking business from her own home. Soon after, she decided to take a job as a caterer for a wedding show and rented a 900-square-foot store on Second Street.
