Jeff Passan has been married to Sara Rieke since 2007 and they have two children. His wife, Sara, is a trained nurse and a supportive wife and mother. Jeff Passan has a back injury

The ESPN MLB pundit announced on Twitter that he broke his back in a yardwork accident on July 17, 2023. He said the injury occurred when a large tree branch fell on him while he was cleaning up after a major storm in Kansas City.

“The good news is that I can still use my arms, legs and Twitter fingers,” Passan added. “The bad news is I broke my back.”

Fortunately, even while recovering, Passan will still have the tools he needs to carry out his reporting duties.
