Tyler Jeffrey Dillashaw, better known as TJ Dillashaw, was born in Sonora, California on February 7, 1986. He is the son of Hal and Janice Dillashaw. Angels Camp, California, is where the UFC fighter grew up. He attended Bret Harte High School, where he joined the wrestling and soccer teams.
Under Coach Jan Schulz, Dillashaw has twice qualified for the California Intercollegiate League, as well as four times in the regional qualifiers. TJ Dillashaw’s fighting career began when he was in high school. Jan Schulz coached him at Bret Harte High School.
