Wilko Johnson, a famous guitarist, singer and actor, passed away on November 21 at the age of 75. On his Twitter account, a note was written confirming his passing and love privacy for his family. Johnson died at home and the cause of death has not been released. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2013 but refused treatment, despite having only 9 to 10 months to live.
He was eventually diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor and required major surgery. At the 2014 Q Awards, he won the Icon Award and revealed that he was cancer-free after an 11-hour procedure in which a 3 kg tumor was removed from his body.

Wilko Johnson, born July 12, 1947, is a member of many local bands. He graduated from Newcastle Upon Tyne University and later moved to India. He returned to Essex to perform with the Charlie Pigboy Band, which was eventually renamed Dr. Feelgood. From 1975 to 1977, Dr. Feelgood had his first recording contract and released four albums: Down by the Jetty, Malpractice, Stupidity and Sneakin’ Suspicion. Stupidity and Sneakin’ Suspicion both top the charts. Wilko left the band in 1977 after a controversy over singles from Sneakin’ Suspicion.

Johnson was a founding member of Solid Senders, who signed to Virgin in 1978. That same year, the band’s eponymous album was published and Wilko joined another band, The Blockheads, in 1980. Wilko starred in the 2009 documentary Oil City Secrets, and his autobiography, Looking Back at Me, was published in 2012. He went on to star in two other documentaries, Apparently… John Cooper Clarke and Punk Britannia. He announced in 2013 that he had terminal cancer, although he continued to perform on various occasions. Johnson’s two children, Matthew and Simon, survived him. He was married to Irene Knight, who died in 2004 of cancer.
