Xbox Game Pass Update August 2023
Microsoft has announced the forthcoming changes to the Xbox Game Pass lineup for mid-August 2023, and it includes both additions and removals. One of the exciting new additions is Everspace 2, a space combat game developed by RockFish Games. Players will take control of their own space fighters in a meticulously crafted universe that blends classic RPG elements with fast-paced action.
The game has garnered positive reviews, with IGN highlighting its gameplay variety and potential as a single-player action-RPG experience. Another game joining the Xbox Game Pass is the critically acclaimed Limbo, a puzzle-platforming adventure. In this atmospheric title, players assume the role of a young boy as he ventures through a hazardous world in search of his missing sister.
Limbo has received praise for its originality and consistently brilliant gameplay, making it a valuable addition to the game library. However, with the arrival of new titles, there are also some games scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on August 15. These departing games include Death Stranding, Edge of Eternity, Midnight Fight Express, and Total War: Warhammer III. Players who have been enjoying these games on the service will need to make the most of their time with them before the removal date.
As always, Xbox Game Pass remains committed to offering gamers a diverse range of titles to explore and enjoy. Whether you’re in the mood for an immersive space combat adventure or a captivating puzzle-platformer, the ever-evolving gaming service has something to cater to every taste and preference. Don’t miss out on these upcoming additions and take the opportunity to play the games that will soon depart from the service before they’re gone. Keep an eye out for more updates and keep enjoying the vast selection of games available with Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass
Game Pass is a subscription service offered by Microsoft as part of the Xbox network. It was launched on June 1, 2017, and allows users to download and play video games on Xbox consoles or Windows PCs from a constantly rotating library. As long as the user maintains an active subscription, they can access and play the games in the library.
The service is divided into two products: Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, Series X, and Series S consoles, and PC Game Pass for PCs running Windows 10 and Windows 11. Both products are available as separate subscriptions. Additionally, there is a premium tier called Game Pass Ultimate, which includes access to both services, an on-demand cloud gaming feature on console, PC, and mobile platforms, and benefits of the Xbox Live Gold subscription.
Game Pass offers a wide selection of games from Xbox Game Studios and various third-party publishers. Starting in January 2018, all new Xbox Game Studios titles are available to Game Pass subscribers immediately upon release. Microsoft has also provided access to Electronic Arts’ EA Play service for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Notably, Xbox Live Gold will be discontinued in September 2023 and integrated into Xbox Game Pass as a new low-price tier called Xbox Game Pass Core. This tier will offer a limited set of free titles to subscribers, further enhancing the gaming experience for players.
